OPEN OFFICE HOURS started as an experiment: every question about building our product gets answered in the open — on the forum, in the changelog, or on a call anyone can join. Twelve months later the habit has outgrown the experiment. 1,204 questions were asked this year; most found their answer in public, where the next person can find it too.
Release weeks run about six days and show up as spikes three to four times the quiet-week baseline. The pattern repeated after all three launches this year.
A private reply helps one person once. A public one compounds: answered threads were revisited 11,830 times this year — almost ten reads for every original question. Forty-one answers graduated into documentation pages. If a question taught us something, it should teach everyone. That is the whole model.
